Dying to know your healing time if anyone had the same problem. I had to take out the patch myself in the morning when i had to poop. Then an hour or so later my nurse wpuld repack all of it. Everyday it stinks like im having a baby. I need to calm myself and settle down because it scares me everytime i woke up that i have to sit on a knife again. And How unlucky am I to have this problem from millions of people. Is it rare or it happens to people also? Sorry for my bad english. Really would appreciate your thoughts. With love

    Hi there

I had My op in September it took 9 weeks to heal. It's awful. The pain is bad. Thank God my gp did my wound dressing at first it was unbearable after a few days he decided to use a liquid anesthetic it helped tremendously. My wound has closed . It's now 7 months and I still feel a little pain though

We not the only people with this problem. After speaking to my surgeon (I'm from south africa) (he specialises in this type of surgery) he told me there's many people that have fistulas. Some after 1 op they healed and some have repeated ops.

Oh gosh. I mean fistulas and peri anal abscess are not the same right? .. i had an abscess that doesnt go away which leads to op. I cant even think of getting another op. The time needed and the pain included in the process is too much.
