will a doctor test you for stds before placing an iud ???

    Dear Nicole,

    Not sure where you live, but it's considered best practice in the UK. If you are <25, you can also get a free sexual health screen by applying online; just Google "NHS STD tests" for more information and a test kit will be sent to you through the post.

      I guess if you're willing to pay the answer is probably 'Yes'.

      Hi Nicole, most likely you'll get a Pap smear (if you are due) and a STD panel. Hope this helps 😃
