IUD replacement

Hello everyone.. 

I had a skyla IUD for 3 years and had no period/spotting at all! I just had my IUD replaced almost 4 weeks ago now. I had some light spotting for the first two days, then it was gone. 

About 17 days after replacing the IUD, I had unprotected sex. But I freaked out a little since I hadnt checked to make sure the strings were in place, so I took a plan B pill as a precaution. 

Its been a week since I took that pill, and i've had on and off spotting the entire time. Mostly dark brown and only when I urinate. 

I also just started a new high fat/ low carb diet a few days ago, and it does seem like the bleeding has increased a bit since that started. 

I called my doctor when the spotting first started and she didnt seem to be concerned, but this seems weird to me after having a IUD for 3 years without any spotting.. should I be concerned? Or could my body just be reacting to the new IUD/plan B pill??
