Hi Emma, I found it awful for 1st 3 weeks, made my anxiety 100 times worse, lost appetite. Then started to settle and upped by 25 each time until side effects settled before upping again. Stopped at 150 mg which im still on a year after starting. Put a stone on but also on betablockers which i think has caused weight gain too.  Felt a lot better by 3 months and mainly pretty good by 6 mths. Well enough to go abroad for 3 mths, when 6 mths earlier i hardly left the settee and house! So once the horrible side effects settle and you reach the right dose for you (little/no anxiety, youve got your life back), it is all worthwhile. Any questions feel free to ask. This forum was great for support when I needed it. Hope this helps!

Took me 10 weeks for it to work and it's a great med after all the side effects disperse. Wish I had found it 2 years ago x

Can i ask what dose you are on. I'm on 75mg now but should have upped to 100 but was too scared of side effects. They have been bad again but apart from exhaustion I'm feeling a bit better. I still don't feel able to go in shops yet though. I'm hoping 100mg will be my magic dose...my latest prescription is 100mg tablets and my 50mg have almost gone ( I've been breaking in half to make up 75mg) so i will be on the 100 soon and the side effects will come back

      Im sure ??

I was on 50 since October but the gp told me to go on 75 for a couple of weeks before upping to 100. I didn’t experience the same side effects as the 1st time. No nausea but I feel quite exhausted. Having said that, I had an operation 2 weeks ago so it might be that.
