I can't lie flat without spinning. Should I try some of the exercises? I'm. Scared to do them because you have to lie down

I haven't lied completely flat for over 10 years lol I'm always worried at the dentist and doctor that I'll go spinning when they need me to be flat. I use a wedge pillow in bed or nap in my recliner. I've mentioned it to the doc with little response...I guess it is what it is.
You're not alone, hang in there!
Take care, ~Mary

I only have the vertigo when I am laying down.
I being tired most of the time do often lay down during the day & am careful to NOT to be without several pillows and try not be in a straight line..if that makes any sense,
Do sleep on my back at night as I have TMJ and tend to vere to the left . Have tried the U shaped pillows that fit under the back of my neck but find that is uncomfortable.

If the spinning stops within a minute then you probably have BPPV which some Meniere's sufferers develop although the conditions are unrelated. I got this about 3 years after first Meniere's diagnosis, confirmed and treated with the Epley manouevre by my consultant. MY GP did a follow up and taught my wife and I how to do it ourselves. It is not difficult and there are excellent videos on Youtube. You will not make matters worse if you try it so try not to worry.
However if the spinning does not stop but persists then you should get a follow up with your Consultant to check for other vestibular disorders.
Good luck.

Since having g meniers, I too can not lay flat. I need to sleep with my head elevated. Also I cannot do any exercises which is floor relatedl like sit-ups, leg stretches etc. Anything like layi g down and going to a sitting g or standing position has to be done in very slow movements.
When I got the dentist, I told them that I could not lay flat and they were most accomidating. They now place a small pillow and u set my head which helps and I do not have any problems. I just do not sit up fast afterwards.
I have heard this symptom is very common with people with meniers.
Take care.
