Hello,

Since the onset of 2014 Ive had countless Urinary tract infections.I have been treated with various antibiotics which all work initially but then I end up with another infection between 10 and 14 days afterwards.

Im having severe pain on left side low down and in my groin and in my kidney area.Sometimes its so bad Im crawling around the room.

GP has organised a scan which is next week but Im in constant pain and need advice.

Has anyone else had same symptoms? and does anyone think I may have Kidney Stones which I have looked up about.

Hello lisa. If you have kidney stones you will have the worst pain you've ever suffered. They are excruciating and doctors usually have to give Morphine or Pethidine for the pain. It sounds as though you could have. Drink as much water and or cranberry juice as you can to help flush your kidneys until your scan.

      Hi Matron,

      Thank you for the reply.

I have codeine but they really dont touch the pain.

I cant wait for my scan to find out really. Not sure what the pain could be if they dont find kidney stones.

I have had surgery this year(feb) to remove adhesions form my bowel.I know that urine infections also start in the bowel so not sure if this is all part of the adhesions Ive had and the ones that havent been removed.

The pain is intermittent though so probably is stones.

Hi lisa. Think you're right. It probably is kidney stones. If there's anything else the scan may show that up. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
