i would really love to hear someone relate to my latest problem that has worried me sick for 2 weeks now. like most individuals that suffer from anxiety, common symptoms i can relate to chest pains, constantly on edge, general body pains, eye strain, hyperventilation and a few more, ever since doctors have prescribed propranolol & citalopram my vision seems very distorted or just strange that i cant find anywhere anyone relating to. crazy as it sounds i have a very feint light blue in my vision e.g white walls look feintly light blue, and worst of all everybody i see has pointier noses and ears stick out more as if im hallucinating. i know it sounds crazy, i have discontinued both meds 1/2 weeks ago and doc says its anxiety but i feel alot more relaxed now but the visual disturbance is causes me extreme stress can anyone help

    Hi George.

Xanax is great for anxiety and for me works great when my panic attacks start kicking me.

My primary doctor prescribed me xanax and celexa, I took celexa for 3 weeks, it help me with my depression, this is what I think, to tell you the truth, I was working out a lot to get rid of my anxiety, but I felt celexa would made me anxious, nervous, and desperate.

I saw a Psychiatrist 3 weeks ago, she told me celexa is no good for my PSTD, she recomended me 2 others medicines, I was scared to try new medicine again, because our body will need about 3 weeks to get use to the drug, what if the medicine don't work? Try a new one again? Not..

My psychiatrist gave me a great, great advise, this is a genetic test, she says most insurance cover 100%. I did it, I got my papers today, it is amazing to see what kind of drugs you can take according to your genetic, I feel good and safe, morir is good for me, if I need I pain killer, inderal, is no good for me. And guess what? Before I got my genetic test, I told my psychiatrist : I'm sorry, I'm not taking any more celexa, I quit 3 weeks ago, and I feel much better now, according to my genetic, celexa is not good for me, and the other 2 medicines my psychiatrist was thinking neither.

I recomende you to have this test, it will save you some pain from been anxious. Ask your dr. For xanax.

Xanax will take all the pains away, it is adictive, so take it as needed, and do exersice, plus watch what you eat, most of the times, we are what we eat, I'm very close to know what cause me anxiety, I don't think is PTSD, I think more in celiac decease, gluten, o IBS.

Good look to you George, take care.

Thanks for the replies, i dont really get pains anymore i feel ive learnt to control it, its just the visual disturbances that really freak me out and ive had to learn to deal with that aswell as i have a very demanding job.

I initially thought it was side effects due to medication aswell but i have read that it should subside as chemicals leave the body, i will be getting MRI and will go to eye specialists as it seems to be getting worse even today i feel its got worse. Thanks for the time spent to reply

You have talkd to your GP and He has suggested anxiety.

Would it be a good idea to get your eyes checked, you may be colour blind
