Hi
well lots of variables.
I'm 6 hours from surgery. love this morphine stuff but it plays havoc with spelling and grammar!
Dressing has to be kept dry, that's easier in the shower.
No dressing, skin will rub off after if you rub gently with a towel after a bath.
my favourite for no weight bearing still in pot, sit on a stool in the bath, keep dressing dry with plastic bag and prop it up on side of the bath. cushion makes it more comfy and shower hose good for hair.
Help in shouting distance for the first time, transfers are the dodgy bit.
make sure bottom is well rinsed, squeaky, before transfer in and out.
plenty of hot water, it's a joy and delight after weeks of flannel s and wet wipes.
Plastic bags can be slippy when you stand on them , so take care.
Today's open is second foot. first was 6 weeks non weight bearing, 6 weeks weight bearing 6 weeks boot weaning.
Kim
PS. if you exfoliate do it gently and don't try to get all the dead skin off in one go.
