I have glaucoma in both eyes which are treated with drops at night and have been informed by the DVLA I must go for the eye test. Its on the 28th June, a week on Monday. I live in the country, can see perfectly with glasses but am so anxious about this. How long do I wait to hear from the Dvla after the eye test? Have you any tips you can give me?

Hi Janet......I have to do this and the DVLA are quite good at telling you the results fairly quickly. The test is fairly simple so dont worry about it too much. Make sure you wear the glasses you would wear for driving.
Its mainly reading the normal letter eye chart and then doing a fields test to check for any blind spots you may have. You wear your glasses for the tests. Are you going to Specsavers? They do a lot of the DVLA tests now.
Are your glasses up to date?
