Jaw and Neck Discomfort

Im only 10 days into this medication so am aware that i am only in the very early days but just wanted to know if anyone else has been suffering with pain/soreness/aches/discomfort in their jaw and or neck.

Could this just be caused by the anxiety or can these pills also cause this? I think i read somewhere about people tensing their jaws etc

    it is Definitely cause by the meds .but it will subside.best regards

      Thanks glad to know its the meds. My discomfort is strange as although i have it at the back of my jaw and the side/back of my neck, I also have it near and under my chin and occasionally along my jaw line

      My neck is awful and throat has been so dry constantly, also had so much trouble swallowing and still find it uncomfortable I still do not know whether it is the medication or the anxiety

    I had it both times I was on cit. it subsides within a few weeks to a month. its caused by the meds. jaw clenching is actually very common side effect. it can be worse in the morning due to clenching the jaw at night. I even go muscle pain throughout the body due to being tense all the time. it will go completely tho, try not to worry. its uncomfortable but will go away. good luck on your recovery and give this medication plenty of time to work.

      Thanks Lala thats good to know, i suffer from health anxiety so get really worried and anxious about things like this and have been feeling my jaw, under my chin and even been touching and checking my throat, health anxiety is a nightmare

      Thank you still keep thinking that with the physical feelings there is something wrong with me which heightens the health anxiety. How long did it take for you to feel better I am 4 and a half months in now good days and bad good, hours and bad!! It is so slow.

      you are getting there will be much better in another few months just keep at it it first time round on cut I felt back to normal at 6 months.

      this time I am on week 14 on 20mg still struggling but getting there slowly. medication is slow working for some people. just patience is needed.

      Thank you I am still having set backs though after 4 and a half months. Some days your patience does get very thin?

    hi graham yes i have it too tho not sure of if its the meds pr just anxiety. my jaw and throat are both tense and sometimes i feel like i cant swallow

      Thanks tamsin, its making my health anxiety worse as always imagine the worst case scenario

      My swallowing has been a major issue from the beginning, it is better now but I still find it uncomfortable.

    its definetly start up side effects . these will go away. sometimes this can be avoided by tappering up slowly.
