I have been on Sertraline for about 6 weeks, when I first started I would wake myself up clenching my jaw.  It has let up alot, but I do still find myself clenching my jaw often.  I am hoping this goes away as the rest of the side effects have let up day by day.

    Good luck!

Hi Tammy, this is probably the only side effect I have, it's not as much as it used to be, but I notice it from time to time, and have to tell myself to stop.

Hi Kerry, yes I also get it worse in the morning, and have to tell myself during the day, stop this, I could be talking to someone, sitting in a meeting, whatever and have to tell myself, but it's worth it because Sertraline has helped my anxiety, and I feel much better, in fact when come back from holiday, I'm going to speak to my GP about tapering off !!

I still get this after 4 months, my partner says it's really bad in my sleep. He said he didn't even know it was possible to grind my jaw that loud!

Hi John, I have this too. As a matter of fact, I grind my jaws so hard in my sleep! that I started having a slight receding gum line. I have a dental mold that I should wear in my sleep but I am too lazy. I don't know what to say except I noticed when I am more relaxed I don't clench my jaws as much.
