i have noticed that I have a lot of anxiety in the morning but then it suddenly disappears and I get super tired and dizzy - does any one else experience this ? is this a symptom of menopause or could it be something else ?

Oh my goodness! This has been my case since the beginning of May. My anxiety has been over the top lately and I don't know why. I have been having chronic migraines which spirals into vertigo (excuse the pun) every day since May and then when the sun goes down it disappears and I'm fine. Then it's back at it again the next day. I went to the doctor and the ER all they told me was that I need to drink more water (clueless twits). I mean they did run tests which all came back normal. But there's nothing more frustrating than going to the doctors and they're just as confused as you are as to what's happening. My GP did say that she thinks my anxiety was triggering all of this. It's a vicious cycle, my anxiety causes my blood pressure to go up, that causes the migraines, the migraines cause pain and dizziness that causes anxiety and round and round the cycle spins. When can I get off this crazy ride?

Anxiety causes adrenaline surges and adrenaline surges cause fatigue. The dizziness is probably caused from the internal heat from the adrenaline surge. I know hot flashes cause dizziness and adrenaline surges cause hot flashes. It's all Horrible!!! I hope and pray you get to feeling better soon.

When I first started going through this 3 yrs ago, that was some of my first symptoms Terrible anxiety in the morning and adrenaline surges that woke me up at 6 am every morning like clock work. Shaking inside. I think it had something to do with cortisol. It's highest in the morning to wake you up. Could also be low blood sugar, eat something at night to keep bs up.I also have anxiety. Have had it since I was a kid. The thing that helped me was weight lifting.I started a gym with my husband and I love it.I go 4 days a week and my anxiety is now only during ovulation. The thing I'm dealing with now is palpitations from ovulation to period, but I'm not going to let it stop me. Been through worse things in my life, I am surely not going to let Perimenopause ruin me. 🙂

Hi, mornings and in the middle of the night are my worse. Only recently started the morning feeling. Nauseous, nervous, shaking, dizzy, feeling faint, pounding heart, twitches, anxiety attacks, then very tired, like I could fall asleep anywhere. Then stomach starts flipping. Gets better in evenings slightly. Is exhausting. Am trying Magnesium, Evening Primose oil, bachs remedies, vitamin b and omega ...so far no real change.

This has been me since May. I wake up to migraine with dizziness, nausea and heat flashes. I guess it's like the other women are saying that it's from adrenaline surges to wake you up in the morning. Cortisol is really high in the AM and then dies down in the evenings which is when our bodies are preparing for rest. This extreme burst of adrenaline is probably what makes us crash and burn in the middle of the day. I don't know if our cortisol levels go up during menopause or if we're just more sensitive to the changes in our bodies during this time so we notice every sensation. I just want my 25 year old self back.

Hi Corinne, I feel the same. I feel better after 4 pm. Mornings are the worst. Magnesium helps. I take 500 MG magnesium at night. My Dr has given me gabapentin too. That too helps. Still I feel this emptiness and fear most of the day. Hang in there!
