Very sorry to hear that at such a early age . It very difficult news when our children have health issues. you sound like a good mom and on this forum for more info there is a lot online .

Open-angle glaucoma as far as I know has one or more eye findings that suggest a higher risk of having or developing glaucoma than the average person. First, their measured eye pressure (IOP) can be higher than the average. As long as you continue with regular eye check ups you can prevent any eye damage. That does not mean she will ever develop glaucoma the type that can be serious.

i have narrow eye glaucoma it also is similar. I have had one attack and now have no issues since I see my doc regularly. It is heriderity in our family in my case it is the angle of the eye, narrow angle.

    Peace & Healing

    Hope xxxx

Thank u for ur kind reply. Am sorry to hear about about ur condition as well. Yes she is on regular medication. I didn't knw much about glaucoma untill my daughter was diagnosed. Am learning n still learning. We have an appointment coming up soon, the doc thinks surgery is the best way as she is reacting to the meds. Hopefully things will get better. Its just that i keep reading about this condition n would like to know if anyone has experienced this at such early age. Thank you so much.
