John Charnley.

I'm watching The Chase and one of the questions was who was the pioneering hip surgeon in the 1960s.

I read his biography on Wikipedia and it's really fascinating. So I would like to say a big thank you to Sir John Charnley.

My Mum is a retired nurse and she assisted at a hip replacement he did in the early sixties. Yes she just loves to share the gory details!

A big thank you Sir Charnley from me too!
