Joint hypermobility syndrome and ankles

Hi, I was just wondering if it is a common symptom of JHS when you start running and both your ankles and lower legs go extremely weak all of a sudden and they go over on themselves, basically feeling like they're out of control? I was running at a Robbie Williams concert and this happened. It's happened to me before on a number of occasions when running for a bus etc, and used to happen to. E years ago when running in P.E at school, but doesn't seem to happen every time I run??

Thanks

I'm sorry this is happening to you sad As someone with hypermobility too, I understand a whole bunch of problems that come with it, but I've never experienced what you're experiencing. For my ankles, all I've ever had was pain during and after running. My knees used to get weak, but all I needed to do was get some exercises to build up my muscles to support my loose joints. Perhaps that's what you need to do for your ankles? In any case, if it's really bothersome, I would check in with your doctor.

Hi. I do get weak legs at times and I have had my ankle give out. I'd get this checked out and get some exercises.

As for running. I was told. NO running.
