I recently read Sertraline can cause joint pain. Do you mind if I ask how old you are and if you are on any other meds?

Same here. Been on 100mg for about 18 months and have decided to come off it. The joint pain that the doctors don't seem to be able to explain because there's nothing in a blood test, coupled with constant tiredness has been way worse than the anxiety I was put on sertraline to treat!

hello, I am certain Sertraline (Zoloft) has caused the strange pain in my finger joints. It feels as though the joints are trying to separate from each other. It's frustrating as, otherwise, Sertraline works really well for me. Glad to hear I'm not alone!

Can anyone tell me if they have had any impovement in joint issues?
I have been on zoloft for 10 years and recently changed my dose. Initially increased to 250, but currently taking 150. During my increase i started with the joint pains - fingers, elbows, knees.

Ive been taking sertraline for a few years and have been suffering with chronic joint pain and bone clicking.
I have only just started to link the dots to point to sertraline as the cause.
Both my mum and Daughter are also on sertraline- me and Mum 100mg a day and Daughter 150mg a day.
We have all been prescribed Amytriptaline for chronice pain which is taken at night time up to 30 mg , although this initially helped with getting to sleep and relieving some of the aches and pains it has now proved to be inafective.
Thinking back to when I tried prozac which i used to take many years before sertraline I decided to go back onto the prozac and to my surprise all aches and creaking joints stopped, however the prozac did not suit me so had to go back onto sertraline and low and behold back to painful joints again. Need to ask the Dr if their is an alternative to sertraline with none of the effects of joint pain.
