Jones fracture

Has anyone used a bone stimulator for Jones fracture? My doctor put a screw in on Wed and wants to order me one for next week. I also have osteoporosis so she wants to make sure it heals. I know we use them on our horses with great success!

    Sandi,

I'm across the pond.  Just got into this discussion because I was looking for answers.  I've been using a bone stim for 40 days and the results have been incredible.  I got censored on this forum,  although I don't know why.  Probably because they think I'm trying to sell you something. I live in Texas ya'll.  I don't think my bone stim is even available across the pond.  If you can get one like I have, your healing will be cut in half.

Linda tell me your story. How long have you been dealing with this fracture. Are you now walking, etc. i am 67 and have osteoporosis so healing may be more difficult. Also bery active, riding horses and dancing. Tried for 5 weeks healing without surgery. Healed some but not enough so doc put a screw in Wed. Said 4 weeks non weightbearing. Man it is difficult!! Then if it is healing properly, 4 more weeks in boot. Long haul. Thanks for your input!!

My doctor sent over the reps bone stimulator today. Seems medicare did not approve but she wanted me to have one so I now have the company's for as long as I need it. They told me with the stimulator and the screw I have a 90% cure rate in 8 weeks. I am hopeful!!
