Hi there, can you still update us on any cures or remedies for lp. Does homeopathy make it worse. Please let me know before I start my homeopath treatment.

Hi No Nails - I got a request from you to update - I'm donkeyjindi - I responded so you should find my response there as well. Did you consult a homeopath? That's critical as they ask loads of questions about you and lifestyle etc so the remedy is tailored specifically to only you and if it doesn't appear to work, then you go back and they tweak it. Worth persevering.

    Hi donkey..,,

No, I haven't been to homeopathy but I think I will. I have nothing to lose. I have just come back from dermatology consultant who told me to use dermovate ointment. I did ask her what she thought about homeopath and she replied that she wouldn't recommend it . I have it accute on my fingers and toes and have lost my nails- hence the name. It is really flared up this time and I am at the end of my tether. I think you recommended a website which was really good. Let me know your lp details. Thanks

as to what kind.Hi - unfortunately the very long reply I made a day or so ago disappeared, was contacted by the site who said there is a timeout, so will try to be brief! On the other hand if you want to email, give me your address and we can take it from there. I had the rash all over my body, not face, or sensitive areas, but also head. The problem with dermatologists or any doctor really is that they don't deal with why these things start and can only offer creams or worse, pills, and are not interested in anything they know nothing about eg homeopathy or any other alternative or complementary medicine. More and more people are turning away from allopathic medicine because all too often, they can't help. My experience with lp and cancer has taught me that it's what's stressing the body beyond what it's capable of dealing with (can be bad nutrition, environmental pollution, emotional issues, you name it and is often a combination) that causes disease, whichever type it is. So I have quite a few recommendations - but it will take some dedication from yourself. Any help?

Thanks a lot. This has really made me think about changing my lifestyle habits as I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes too. It is all about being sensible and listening to your body. But I am also going to try homeopathy too as the changes will take time. And I need some type of help at the moment. I saw a website from India. It is homeopathy treatment. I don't know whether to trust this guy. I have noticed that no one has been using this forum for such a long time and am wondering if there is something that is helping them out there that we haven't come across!

Emis Moderator comment: I have removed the link to the Indian website as it is a "selling" site.

Hi again. I think I know the Indian site you mean (this site removed the link) but I wouldn't go there, I did consider it. I would find a proper homeopath locally and make an appointment. Is it type 2 diabetes? If it is (have two friends with that so have read a lot about it) then it does mean a lifestyle change as that's reversible if you do. If you could find an EFT practitioner locally too that would help re the lp. I found aloe vera soothing but very little else. I think I also took liver cleansing supplements like milk thistle and other herbs as the liver gets a lot of hard work to do with this stuff. In fact how about looking for a naturopath - I'm lucky in that in Edinburgh there's a place that has all the therapists you could want together - any chance of that where you are?

ThanKs for all your support. I don't know what you mean by ELTpractitioner. I probably do have all the health practices here living in central London but I am sure it will cost an arm and a leg (no pun intended). Thanks again.

Hi - best thing to do is look up EFT. For anybody else reading this and very briefly, Emotional Freedom Techniques is a tapping technique (on certain facial - mainly but also hands etc points that correspond to acupuncture points) and is excellent for stress - and really easy to do yourself but for health issues at least initially I would suggest finding a practititioner. In central London, probably spoilt for choice.. Unresolved emotional issues are often the underlying cause of a whole host of problems and EFT sorts them out. Or - put eftuniverse into Google (am not supplying the link here as that delays the reply while they check it out and might remove it anyway) to get started. Best of luck! (But get back to me if I can help with anything,)

The research that I did said that people with LP should eat a diet reach in fruits and veg. I used to belong to a group called. FA, food addicts in recovery. They eat no flower, sugar, or processed foods. Many people with type 2 diabetes came off of all medications. They started decreasing their meds after about 4 months. The added benefit is that you lose weight without even trying. Their program requires to many meetings for me but the change in eating made me feel great so I'm going back on it.
