Jumping off at 3.75. Your positive experiences

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've had about as much as I can take from this drug. I have only got up to the heady heights of 5mg over the past year or so but I have completely had enough of it.

I'm at 3.6mg and everything in my body is telling me it wants off. I have just started on another AD so that should ease some of the withdrawals I hope. I also have some sleep aids if things get too much.

There are so many negative stories on here so please if anyone has any positive stories from withdrawals I'd be happy to read them here.

Please no scare stories ☺ I have agonised over this decision but the longer I stay on the harder it is going to be

I should add that I was taking it for sleep but couldn't get onto a decent dose to work as an anti depressant due to all the side effects. My body really hates this stuff!

i dont foresee you getting many responses since you are looking for positive experiences. anyone who has had a positive experience is probably not on this site as these are people like me who are struggling to get off or having gotten off and still suffering. its more venting and looking for support for the situation we have found ourselves in. i have been off mirtazapine now for about five weeks after a taper of seven months for a dose of 7.5 and am suffering greatly. i would be glad to compare symptoms and offer support but unfortunately my experiences getting off mirtazapine and trying to sty off have not been positive.
