Jumps in my sleep.

So I never had this problem at all, it started a year and a half ago ever since my grandfather died, most nights I will get a tight chest and then when I try to fall asleep my breathing will go so low that I will jump from my sleep, it takes a while some nights just to get sleep. I am getting to the point where I am going insane with this problem, I really need some guidance on this, I had surgery 4 years ago in my chest which was major because my chest was deformed and I was going tbroguh depression and panic attacks, maybe it is my body not accepting the fact that I am fine or some sort of PTSD I really don't know. But I can't keep living like this where I am jumping in my sleep. Anyone with advice will be great.
