Jumpy To Small Touches

Hello, My name is Jericho Adams. I am 18 and currently enrolled as a senior at a disclosed High School. I have been airsofting for about 3 years now. Since then, I have noticed that I am very jumpy to light touches/taps. I never noticed this before I played my first airsoft game. When I sleep, I have small muscle spasms in my arms or legs. They are extremely minor, sometimes not even noticeable. And I was told two days from now that the reason why I have those minor spasms is because I have suffered a physical trauma in my life. Now I don't know how severe it has to be to be "traumatizing", Because I have suffered from a dislocation in my left shoulder. This dislocation has lead to a subluxation in my shoulder. I can't tell you how many times I've subluxed my shoulder. literally countless times, If anyone can try more light on this topic I would appreciate it. I've always been curious as to why I I'm very responding to light touches/taps. hopefully I provided enough information to work with, I'm excited to see any responses. Thank you so much for reading this, feel free to ask anything! And if you have any answers, would appreciate that as well!

Are you taking Citalopram and have you been diagnosed with anxiety?

Anxiety makes your body sensitised, meaning your senses are heightened and you’ll over-feel and think. This might be why you feel jumpy.

If you’re on Citalopram then it could also be the meds - they heighten symptoms at first and they do work on Serotonin as it leaves your nerve endings and it can make people a little twitchy.

Yes it could be the shoulder trauma which would equally make your body sensitised.

Also it could be the airsoft noise (I’m not sure if it’s loud) but it could be you’re becoming more alert to that?

So I suspect it’s one of these making your senses a little heightened (I’m guessing anxiety / meds). It’s nothing to worry about and will ease in time.
