Just a few questions

hi hope you all had the best christmas you could and got through it ok. I have a few questions, does anyone constantly think about how they are feeling and does it ever go away. and did it take anyone longer to see improvement on feeling low after anxiety had gone? I am 8 weeks on 25 and 4 weeks on 37.5, feeling a lot better but not quite there so am increasing to 50 this week. thanks in advance for any advice

i am on 100 mg 6 weeks before was on 50 since november 1st , week 4 and 5 was hell . only yesterday i felt slightly better a bit calmer from my intrusive thoughts but its still in my mind but i can hardly push it away . mornings are shaky and not clear minded . in total i can say i am better but not the better i used to be when this med kicked in for 2 yrs before i stop it , which i regret stopping it bec i had to start all over again and waiting now to kick in as it did .
50 is the start of the right dose so i think you should see improvments on it .

thanks for getting back to me, I think it is starting to get better because I have the intrusive thoughts but as soon as I have them sensible brain takes over, where as before I would dwell on them. if I could just stop checking how I feel all the time it would be great. am waiting to pick up new script on weds so will increase then as I do not have much faith in it being ready and do not want to run out, my dr's are good but the admin staff at my GP's surgery leave a little something to be desired shall we say. I am sure you will get to where you want to be, if they have worked before for you, they should work again, if you have had windows of calm then something must be happening x

Chris, I truly believe we will, time, patience, common sense and a good old dollop of being kind to ourselves as well as sharing, reading and helping each other on here, as you and countless others do will hopefully make all of us realise we are not alone in this journey. I wish you a calm and happy 2019 and thank you for supporting us x

hi Sue, Merry Christmas to you
you should start feeling a difference on 50mg
i was good on that dose but not quite where i really wanted to be so upped to 75 and that is my magic number!
its a bit of juggling doses but you did the right thing starting off low and gradually working up.
you'll be feeling pretty good soon i would think
all the best

thank you for your words of encouragement, it certainly is a juggling act, regardless of what some medical pros think it is not a one size fits all, so glad you feel better, as no doubt I will so here is to a happy calm new year wish for you, me and all our fellow sufferers. we have to believe 2019 will be our year x
