Just a question about cold sores and genital sores

hey guys, ive had coldsores all my life and recently got into a new relationship.

we talked about it and he has cold sores too, i was just wondering does anyone know the likely hood of gwtting hsv1 both orally and gwnitslly.

like if he doesnt have a sore , but because he still has the virus in his body, and goes down in me, is there a chance i wilk gwt hsv1 down there , or unlikley due to my virus having antibodies already

for the record i wouldnt let him kiss or go down on me when theres an active sore, and obviously vice versa

    5-10% HSV 1 breaks out less often than HSV 2 as long as there are not signs or symptoms of a oral cold sore you should be okay. Shedding in HSV 1 is also less than HSV 2. listen to your body and refrain from oral sex or using saliva as lube when have sex when cold sores are present
