So I've been given Sertraline 50mg and it will be reviewed in 3 weeks. To be completely honest I'm pooping myself at the thought of taking these after everything I've read. The majority of the reviews make this sound like the worst drug ever. I've been having really twisted thoughts recently and I start counselling soon aswell. Anyone got any honest feedback for me?

Ok so I have been taking 25mg for 3 weeks now and today was my first day taking 50mg.. I took it about an hour ago and so far I am feeling ok. A little overly anxious, but I am also very aware that I overthink things ALOT and this is why I am trying to give this med a chance to work some magic as I have also aside from the bad reviews read a lot of inspiring reviews too. I would suggest from my own experience( although everyone is different!) to perhaps start on half that dose- 25mg and ease your way into it. I was so incredibly anxious to try it and my gp said halve it and take your time. I did this and its been a relatively smooth ride. Give it a chance and good luck xxx
