Hi so today I got my test results back that I am positive for hsv 2
A week ago I had a pap, blood work, and a sample of a sore sent off to be cultured. All of my doctors said my symptoms did not look like herpes.
2 weeks ago I went home with a guy (let's call him AC) on the first night but told him that I didn't want to have sex with him, but he offered to go down on me so I didn't decline. Then a few days later I had tiny sores pop up on my bikini line and ankle. I texted this guy today to tell him, at first he was like wtf I've been tested in the last couple months but I guess it's time to get tested again and said he went and got tested literally 3 hours after I told him.
2 and a half months ago, (let's call him RR) I was seeing this guy and before having sex without a condom he said he hasn't seen a doctor in 4 years BUT has had no signs or symptoms of herpes.
My doctor told me that this exposure has been really recent so she told me that the guy 2.5 months ago isn't the one who gave it to me.
Where do you think I got it from? Can I get herpes 2 from receiving oral?

You can, but it's not as likely. I'm more curious as to why your doctor thinks it's a very recent infection, which tests you had done for herpes, and what the exact results were. The blood tests aren't perfect, but a positive swab is definitive, yet tells you nothing about recency of infection. People don't need to have any symptoms to carry or transmit herpes, by the way.

I can call and ask my doctor tomorrow.
I know you don't have to have signs or symptoms to have h2 now that I've done my research the last week
I wasn't really aware.
My doctor just told me it was a recent exposure due to culture results ?
I'm not sure if I should tell RR as we had a bad falling out.
If I had h2 (with no symptoms) before seeing AC, could AC now have h2 from going down on me?

I've been told the first OB happened 2-14 days after first exposure.

What if AC gets testing done and it comes back negative? I'm afraid how he will react.

Although possible, if seems highly unlikely that AC gave you HSV2. First, you didn't have intercourse and it's not common for HSV2 to pass by oral sex. HSV1, yes, but rarely HSV2. Second, you would expect it to cause an outbreak on your vagina, where the virus first entered your skin (assuming a new infection). The bikini line is less likely, and your ankle certainly not.
So, assuming your culture tested positive specifically for HSV2, it would seem more likely that you either had it from before AC *or* got it from RR. The culture only tells you that you have an active infection, not how long ago you acquired it, although usually most first outbreaks do occur within 1-2 weeks. Did anything happen in the two weeks prior?
If not, then you're either one of the few who had a delayed first outbreak, or you had a first outbreak that was so mild or atypical that you failed to realise it was one. Even the doctor did not think this outbreak was herpes, so it's possible. If that's the case, you really can't know if it was from RR or from long ago, unless you do the IgG antibody test asap (within a month of this outbreak). If a high positive, you've had it for a while. If still negative or very low positive, it's recent.
