Venesection purpose is to take the iron out through your blood each time. My rate was almost 2000 and since weekly VS it's now down to under 300 which is great as I can't reverse my liver cirrhosis or arthritis but I can stop it storing any more overload. It's life changing. It the keyword is in life... I am alive

Contact your country's association and they will send you information regarding genetic haemochromatosis.  The more you want to know the more reading you have to do.  It can be simple and it can be complex, depending on what you want to know.

I am getting by, dealing with issues as I can.  I miss being superwoman lol

Spreading awareness about haemochromatosis is what we all have to do, so good on you.  See if there are some brochures that you can leave there too.

      What about you?

I had my first Venesection on Friday 25th August

I began at 530 . I have severe brain fog pains in joints weakness in limbs and fall asleep everywhere and i am yellow skinned. I believe I am lucky as it appears my liver and main organs are fine... So with my now stupid needle phobia chucked where it always belonged I begin my road to recovery.
