Just been diagnosed with Labyrinthitis

How long can the ringing in the ears last? Does Mucinex D actually work or should I be taking something else? Doctor prescribed it. I feel horrible and all I want to do is sleep

    In not sure how mucinex would help. Im no Dr, but I understand most have to wait it out, take meclizine, or maybe steroid short course. I hope you feel better soon. I think it can last a few wks to 2mos, but improvement comes gradually. Once you can get up and about, do whatever you can to walk out and about. It helps your brain make up for the vestibular deficit. The tinnitus should fade by a month.

      I also have thyroid problems too and have been trying to get blood work done to see if that’s part of the problem. I have hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease.  If you look hypothyroidism up, it has all most the same symptoms
