Just been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries??

Hi I'm a bit unsure what to do and what to think. I have never had problems with my periods and have got 2 little boys. Recently I had headaches while being on my pill so I changed what pill I was on, then I had my 'break' but not period came. 13 weeks later I eventually came on my period. I was due again last week but never came on. I had a scan on Wednesday and Friday I had a phone call from gp to tell me I had polycystic ovaries! 😢 I just burst out crying and didn't no what to think. I am so scared as I do want more children! My auntie and my cousin suffer from this and they have had problems with having children. I have been so miserable since I found out and just keep crying. Can anyone give me any info and help on this please? X

    Dont be so upset hun, i got referred to a gynea to get all my questions answered as i dont think gps really know much about pcos. He was great. The worse part was telling me i wont be able to concieve if i dont lose weight that broke my heart i dont have any children yet so it has hit me hard. But im trying to stay positive it still hurts inside but until i start trying and have problems im going to try and stay positive you should too hun it is hard hearing it but we all stick together alot of people can concieve with pcos keep your chin up hun =) x

      Thankyou, I am trying really hard to keep positive and I'm slowly coming to terms with it but it's just hard. I'm just lucky I have had 2 beautiful little boys before I had this. That's so awful that you havnt been able to have any yet sad I'm not overweight and wouldn't say I'm big at all so it was a bit of a shock as i have read that it's connected to diabetes ( which I don't have ) and a male hormone which makes you have hair grow on face and that which I don't really have either. All i have is irregular periods and a lot of pain in the bottom of my belly and had the scan to confirm I have them. Just hope in future I will be able to have more as I'm only 24 so still so young sad

      It is very hard to stay positive hun its taken alot of people to tell me to stay positive its easier said then done =( but we have to try thats the problem. Im focusing on my wedding to try and take my mind off things for now. Have you got anything to try and take your mind off it hun? I dont have diabetes but i have all the other things. Well my periods are regular thats really only normal thing for me. Have they told you how many you have (cysts) i have more then 12 in each ovary and my right one has bulged out so its quite painful. Im 24 to hun we still young =( i am here if you want to talk not that im very useful but i am here x

      Ah you have a wonderful wedding to look forward to then! How exciting smile well the boys keep me busy so I have them and my boyfriend. Am a lot better now than I was when I first found out so hopefully it will get better. No I don't have a clue yet until I see the doctor at the end of the month to talk to me about it all. I literally just had a phone call to say I've got it and that was it! Didn't even explain anything to me!! Ah thanks Hun that's really nice to no. Same to you aswell xx

      Im very excited =) so much to do =)... Aww your boys will certainly keep you on your toes =) how old are they?  bless them. I just cried all the way home near enough and again when i got home it is hard to believe =(... aww keep me posted on here how you get on at doctors =)... request to see a gynea they are very helpful. GPs can be useless at times thats why they sent me to one cause they didnt know my questions i was asking =(. Aww thank you =) keep smiling =D xx

      Aww yeah I bet! When are you getting married? They are 5 and 3 so yep they deffinetly keep me busy! Lol. Ok brilliant I will mention that when I go to see my gp, my doctor actually specialises in this sort of thing so I'm hoping she's going to provide me with all the information I need! Thankyou for the support it has really helped smile xx

      August 2015 i have alot of it sorted =). Aww they will definately keep you busy =). Bless =). Its worth mentioning write all your qustions down so you remember what you want to ask so you dont forget hun =)... I hope you get everything answered hun =D.
