      thanks for your reply I think your symptoms r very likely to be apart of fibro as I get very swollen fingers too especially in the mornings I get very confused and also forget a lot of stuff and find my self doing silly things like putting my kettle in the fridge rolleyes feel I'm going mad sometimes but least we know we are not alone smile

    Hello sarapainfree,

         I have had Fibro for many years but was finally diagnosed nearly 10 + years ago I have undergone so many different treatments ranging from Nerve blocks in my neck to Methadone 10 mgs fom 1 a day up to 5 a day ( I was in pain management - terrible doctor got kicked out for telling him I had been sick over a holiday weekend and had taken some cough syrup with Codine in it that was prescribed to me by him like 2 months prior, he gave me a urinalysis and it showed up and I was told to leave **** Best thing that ever happened to me****) I was put on Neurotin (A/K/A Gabapentin) I worked great but It was scary to me cuz I missed 1 dose and that night I had restless leg syndrome which I would not wish on my worst enemy as I had never experienced it before, That medicine is just like Lyrica but cheaper and it would only take care of the burning sensations.  I also have hypothyriodism.  I am not currently taking the gabapentin or any pain medication as my doc will not prescribe any pain pills for fibro.  I should mention I aslo suffer from dibilitating migraines occasionaly.  I am not sure how long you have had it but if you could just get rid of the burning then you will feel a lot better.  If you are new to this condition let me go ahead and warn you.....people seem to think inorder for you to be in pain for real - people even doctors want to be able to see an injury or scar.  I was made to feel like I was just a "Drug Seeker" and that there was no way I could be in any real pain since I had no injuries to show for it.....There were times I thought to myself am I crazy? Is this something I have come up with in my mind, I finally found a specialist who diagnosed me and explained it to me which made me feel validated and sane!  I wish you the best of luck!  If you have any questions I will be glad to answer them the best I can just send me a message.

    Sincerely Yours;

    Stephanie D

    Hi, haven't been diagnosed but have been in pain for some time. I'm 63 and thought I was healthy, oh well. For the pain, burning and other symptoms I have been finding relief by using some homeopathic and essential oils. Biofreeze is a wonderful product, spray it on for instant relief. Also a few drops of vetiver and lavender oil in your favorite lotion is soothing.

    I forgot to add that for headaches try some peppermint oil on your temples, forehead and back of neck. At night use lavender instead. Aroma therapy seems to help as well. It's all new to me but it might help some of you. At least I hope it will. This is as bad or worse then my psuedogout pain. Good luck all.
