Hello 

can anyone help me I have just been given this from my GP for aniexty 50mg twice a day but worried about the side affects do they work

    Hey Kelly. I started on preg about 3 weeks ago. Had zero side effects, just felt a bit iffy in my stomach for a couple of days. I'm currently only on 50mg just as a starting dose and will have my dose upped on monday.

    So far, 3 weeks in i'm not noticing any difference to my anxiety at all but have read that the dosage for anxiety, theraputic is 150mg+

    Really hoping that once my dose has been upped that this so called wonder drug will do the business for me. Everything else so far has failed.

    Fingers crossed. Hope your dosage works out for you, im sure it will. read great stuff about this pill smile

    Hi Kelly. I didn't notice any side effects or benefits until I got up to 600mg.

    That said the only side effect I have is blurred vision for about 45mins after taking a dose. It's not totally debilitating, just rather annoying and I need to zoom in on my PC screen a little more. But as I say it soon passes.

    I find this dose is really helpful, so the blurred vision for a short while is well worth it for me. I couldn't cope at work without this med! Good luck

    Hi Kelly..I just started on lyrica 9 days ago. Started on 50mg twice a day. At first it made me tired but that has gotten better. I have also been plagued by consitpation, but am taking miralax for it. I just went up to 100mg twice a day as I noticed it was not working as well as it did at first. Everyone reacts differently to every medication. I've been on or tried 30 meds over the last 26 years and lyrica has helped me more than anything else.

    Hi Kelly...yes, it has helped me sleep better. I am also on prozac and I take seroquel, 300mg at bedtime. It has lowered my anxiety so much. I do feel fatigued, but that is slowly getting better. I went from 50mg twice a day to 100mg twice a day. I started on the 100 this am. When I did take my first 50mg dose, it did make me very tired. I could barely walk. But the second day it was better. We all react different to different meds. I understand your reluctance to take it. It's very scary to try a new medication. If I were u, I would take it when you don't have to go anywhere. There was no way I could drive the first day I took it. But I was fine the second day.

    Hi Kelly, you posted this 2months ago. I've just started 150mg daily (75mg x2/day) pregabalin / lyrica for GAD and panic attacks. I was wondering how you're getting on? Is it helping? Any side effects?
