Just been prescribed Mirtazapine, can I drink alcohol with this. Really worried of what it will do

ive been prescribed this for anxiety and i drink every night like 4 pints lager. ive heard its dangerous to drink with these and now im really worried what it will do to me. really anxious about taking them and tbh i need to go to chemist tomoz to pick something up so might ask them. im even debating ringing my dr to maybe change for something else as he doesnt know i drink alcohol. i was on an ssri before and i was fine drinking on them as its quite safe but yeah if anyone has any advice or experience. id greatly appreciate it. thanks

    you'll be fine just take your tablet after you have finished drinking and are ready for bed , i drink around 8 beers most nights and im good no ill effects .
