Just been told I have a cyst on my overy

Hi ladies,

I'm looking for some advice or to see if anyone else has/had the same. For the past 12/18months I have been suffering from very very heavy/irregular and long periods (8weeks long) tiredness, weight loss, no appertite and feeling full really quick also using the toilet a lot.

On Tuesday I went for an ultrasound internal and external, I was told to ring my doctor the following morning as they will have my results... I did so and was told I have a 5 centimetre cyst on my left overy that has been split into 2 with a gap down the middle he also informed me that he couldn't actually see or find my left overy/falopian tube on the scan either. I am now waiting to be refurred!

Has anyone else experienced this? What did they do for you? How long did you have to wait?

    I am going through the same as you, my USS was yesterday and I have 1 large cyst on each ovary

    I think you need to go back to your GP/primary care doc and ask to be referred as soon as poss. Ask for blood tests to check for other issues like anaemia too. If your doc thinks it necessary then they will try to get an urgent appointment, which should be within two weeks. Otherwise will be longer depending where you live as areas vary with waiting lists in UK anyway. X rolleyes
