Just diagnosed and struggling

Posted , 4 users are following.

I have been shaking/tremors for a while and feeling so weak I have hardly left the sofa for a week.

I also have pneumonia. Probably caused meds for my rheumatoid arthritis (immune disease).

I was diagnosed yesterday when bloods came in TSH 0.010. ft4 36.9

They don't mean anything to me but am presuming they aren't good, as Dr gave me 40mg carbimazole and sent an urgent referal to specialist

I don't really know what to do to help, I can't stop my body shaking and feel so weak it's ruining my life

    Hi Dee,

I had the same symptoms in February. Did you gp do an ecg? It was found on myself that my heart rate was crazily high causing the tremors and shaking. I was prescribed Propranolol 80mg to bring this down. All part of the Overactive Thyroid disorder. Hope you feel better soon.

Hard to know if that's coming from the pneumonia or thyroid. At least you are on meds for thyroid. I would say get to endocrinologist ASAP.
