So i just got the call that i tested positive for hsv 1. Ive never experienced any symptoms but i know some people never do. My doctor said that if ive had the chicken pox vaccination then that can lead to a positive result. Im pretty confused with the whole situation.

go to a different doctor and get tested. you can buy a more accurate test online too. thats a bit odd. i wish you luck!

although hsv and chicken pox are both strains of herpes they are different. there is 8 strains of herpes.
your doctor is giving false info!

that doctor is full of it . coming from a person who had chicken pox as a child. ive had HSV blood testing before and antibodies were not detected at all for HSV 1 or 2. he doesnt know what hes talking about.
