Just diagnosed, still not sure if it's right diagnosis.

I am 32, not that age matters, and have been through several recent test. About 6 months ago my knuckels started hurting. Dr said I must have sparined them with the type of manual work I do. A few months down the road, my knuckles are swollen and my hand / wrist hurts.

So we're do a CBC, RA, Lupus, and most other AI test, all negative.

I get referred to a carpal tunnel/ hand surgeon. He says" yes I think you have carpal tunnel, iam referring you to a Neurologist who will do a few test to see wich nerve is affected".

Neurologist does the shock test, and pokes my arm from shoulder to thumb with a needle. Then says not 1 but both nerves are affected.

Ok so I have carpal tunnel? I wasn't satisfied with that answer. Then my Vyvanse quit working.. Then I could sleep for 2 days straight (I usually never sleep) then my toes go numb.

I wanted to cry, I consider myself a strong minded person, but I had to admit I was depressed. All this within 6 months.

I have my appointment with the RA in 2 days. Is it worth getting a third opinion?

I see most of you talking about wide spread pain, iam not in pain, my most debilitating syptom is fatigue. And with 3 kids age 12, 7, 5 sleeping all day doesn't cut it.

If anyone can relate , please share your experience. Anyone not in pain with FMS?
