Just diagnosed with PE Today and terrified

Got a clot on my lung and have to have heparin injections for 2 weeks and then tablets they also want to scan my pelvis and heart I'm so scared

    How old are u anyway if u dont mind me asking.

    I Got 1 Injection the first time They dont know what is it! Because i haD a Sign of bloodclot Then its confirm left lungs is clot xarelto 15 mg twice for 2 weeks Then 20 mg once a day but Then last tweek i Got panick attack and I can't breath i admit again to Hospital so They change to apixaban 5 mg twice a day and betta blocker for heartbit because its a bit faster.

    I hope and wish that we all Getting better!

      Hi I don't know how big it is and I'm 48. Doctor said injections for 2 weeks and then on to tablets . I'm lucky as I feel well generally just scared xx

      Honey, I am 73!!!!  We have to watch the panic attacks as they are not good for us.  How long have you had it jhona?   I have had mine 7 months.

    Daisy, please ask your doctor to put you on something for nerves. It will not affect the blood clot but will help YOU to deal with it.  I am 73, have been in wonderful health, owned a hiking company, swam every day at the Y, took people all over the world on hikes but all of that is in my past now. All I want to do is to live and be happy.  I want you to do the same but you are probably much younger than I.  Stay in touch because I care.

      Good advise Marie.  A little lexapro or something may calm you down!

      I am 61 1/2 and overweight, just had the sleeve Gastrectomy on 5/9/17 which probably caused the clot , that i didnt get the systoms  to almost a week later. i thought alot of the things I was feeling was either from the surgery or the medicines they put me on.

      Im hoping since i am dropping weight that i will feel bad with the shortnes of breath walking along with the clot dissolving

    Remember that if you are on anticoagulant, the chances of recurrence is very very low. Relax. Do meditation. If you smoke, try to quit. Fear the fear 😊
