    Welcome to the Gout club.

I thought my gout had cleared after nearly twenty years then I was prescribed Fubosemide, think thats the spelling, and had it return in my right wrist. Worst bout ever for me. Took Colchicine to help, after about a week the swelling and pain were much reduced althought the wrist is still quite painful.

Become more alkaline and gout goes away. Eating alkaline foods instead of acidic foods is the trick. It's really not so bad once you get the pain to go away. Just stick to a gout diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables. They will heal you as they did me. Look up a Acid Vs alkaline food chart and every thing you can think of for gout. Bookmark the pages to return to them. I found many contradictions with different information sources, but you will still get enough info. to treat the gout. Alkaline drinks like home made alkaline water for starters, google making it.

It's easy, inexpensive, and will help your problem. But it is a life style change that you have to keep up, and yes you can cheat some after you are neutral with the blood testing. Cut out soda, HFCS ( in foods and drinks ) , shell fisn, organ meats, beef and pork. It took me approximately 5 weeks without medication to get my gout under control. Now months later I'm feeling better and better everyday. Be patient though, as far as losing weight. I went 6 weeks or so with no loss then dropped 5 lbs.  then the next month lost another 3lbs.

Good Luck you can do it. Make fruits your deserts you'll be suprised how good and sweet they taste afer a while.
