Just get on with your life....

7 week follow up with consultant yesterday. Walked in with no stick of limp. Had a general chat about how I was and asked if there was anything I shouldn't do going forward. Consultants reply was that I now have two hips that are as good or better than my real ones were - only limitation is from the muscles - if it hurts, don't do it, if it aches, have a rest - otherwise just get out there and get back on with your life! I love my consultant!

    Hi Shirley,

That is a great positive message. Well done you. I am on Day15 post op and managing to pick up the threads of normal life a bit. Everything takes for ever though as I am still on two crutches and partial weight bearing for another 4 weeks.

    Yours with best wishes,

    Shirley
