Just got a cancellation that moved my surgery from Apr 7th to Feb 19th!

I haven't had my orientation yet and will just get my PT and OT assessments two days before my surgery.

I am excited and terrifiesd all at the same time - thought I had time to get everything organized, lose a bit more weight and strengthen muscles more. Thank goodness I have been following you wonderful people for a couple of weeks and you have covered much of what I need to know.

I guess my focus should now be to get the equipment and supportive aids organized at home. Whew! And perhaps ... to start breathing normally again.

I hoep you were mobile enough to dodge your wife's response! Seriously - the advice - laced with good humour that you and rocketman share with the rests of the hippies is fabulous. I have many notes of the great suggestions offered in this forum that will stand me a in good stead. Thank you all.

Many thanks Gertie and Marilyn. I know that I am very lucky and I am very grateful if a little flumoxed (my first call of the day was for my orientation on Feb 4th, the 2nd was to offer me the April date and the 3rd was to offer me the cancellation date). My husband is away for the day, ditto my daughter - so you are the first with whom I have shared the news ... before I burst! Thanks.
