Hi Donna. So sorry to hear of your suffering sweetie! I can’t help you with advice on medication because I had decided at the outset of my diagnosis, to not use medication that was recommended mainly due to the adverse side effects. I have had Fibromyalgia for over 30 years now, but I have been thankfully able to manage it with a more holistic approach through nutrition and some natural supplements.  So others here would be able to help you more on that side of things. For myself I have found that certain supplements that contain Magnesium and other great nutrients has helped me cope. I usually make a smoothie each day with Rice milk and add blueberries, raw Cocoa powder, Collagen powder and Chia Seeds for Omega 3. I also try to always eat very healthy foods. I also found that managing my stress and negative thoughts, helped tremendously as well. Stress is a real enemy of Fibromyalgia so lowering our stress is essential. Reading up on self help books on worrying and negative thinking can be a real benefit as well. Just never give up in your search for relief Donna. You will eventually find some things that work for you. You can manage this Donna. You are never alone in your stuggles. Warm hugs! Maggie x

Hello. I'm new here and very scared.Im in the process of finding out if I have fibro. Very long story short, I'm a train wreck. On my way to a new pain management in 2 weeks. They tried lidocaine enfusions and it made me worse.Im hoping that the pain management center can diagnose me but if not I need a rheumatologist appointment I guess.I just got over a very very bad "fibro flare"??? I guess. All I know now is I had to quit my job.. 😪😢. ..It was devistating. Seriously if you look up fibromyalgia you will see my picture. Every single symptom. I'm very encouraged by what you said about homothapic remedies. I started eating very very clean, stopped caffeine and a few days later I started feeling better. I just ordered malic acid, magnesium with folic acid fibrose, liquid b vitamins.. I want to feel better. I appreciate any advice I could get

    Hi Donna761,

I've had Fibro, (so they say) for 15 years with Chronic Fatigue and Chemical Sensitivity. It has become much worse this last year. I've certainly had more bad days than good, unfortunately.

I hope the hemp oil works. I have tried it numerous times, and it does absolutely nothing. I have a very high tolerance for drugs, so that could be a very slight possiblility as to why it doesn't do one thing.

I've just begun Physical Therapy and what they have me doing, my 2 year old grandson could do, but the following day, ends me in bed in pain along with my "normal" pain. It is all very discouraging.

Hi thank you for your advice I’ve read that physical therapy isn’t good for fibromyalgia it actually aggravates acupuncture is the best so they say so I’m having a lot of that I also have a high tolerance for drugs if I don’t take my pain meds before I get out of bed my back just kills me I do have a nerve on my neck that’s has a bad inpinchmeant and a disc bulge so having another mri on my whole back my elbows shoulders and back are my worst I’m seeing a specialist on the 9th to determine if I definitely do have it but blood test were very high inflammation levels and my doctor said he thinks I definitely have it I feel so old with pain i am 47 so this is just awful can I ask you please what are you taking for your pain and did they put you a antidepressant if so what because the milnacipran adds serotonin and is supposed to block your pain but it’s not meant for me my Aunty (dads sister) has had since she was 20 but back then they didn’t know what was happening to her so it wasn’t until her late 30s she was diagnosed thank you so very much for replying to me hope you are having a better day today ❤️
