Hi,

Hoping someone can put my mind at ease. I had my burch colposuspension just over 2 weeks ago and apart from stitching through my bladder, all seemed to have gone well. for the first week I had amazing results and had only minor leaking if I sneezed however now I'm leaking constantly again and back to pads full time 😩 I am so heartbroken!

Is this just because I'm still healing or has it not worked? would love to know if anyone else went through similar but found that after a significant recovery time they had better results?

Thank you in advance x

I wish you the best. I have incontinence but i suggest ask your doctor about what is the long term recovery time. I am sure there are many with your experiences that can share their medical progress.

    take care.

Read that word carefully and meditate on it. The word is colposuspension. Suspension anything is temporary. I believe the surgery you had is supposed to lead to something more permanent.

Stitching has this problem, if you have your bladder stitched but then pee very strongly its likely to cause ruining of the stitching. It takes time for the healing of the bladder to come, this is why you must take it easy when peeing, to not worsen the stitching. Take it easy for a few weeks until you feel its time to start using the bladder as you normally use it.
