Hi there that is vertigo when you get the spins, its from us going through peri probably 95 % of us woman get the dizzies its horrible..I get it bad not the spins but almost if you tilt your head sideways but its really straight up right that's how I get sometimes then the dizziness uggg its bad sometimes if I turn from one spot and turn my body to another spit it feels like I'm still turning.. I also have bad sinuses and polyps..if your ear is clogged at the moment then your vertigo is coming on most likely from the clogged ear..I would get that fixed might need an anti. Biot ic and some Ben e Dr yl ... But hormones do wreck havoc in tbe body for sure... There is a you tu be video on how to do the vertigo exercise iv never had to but hear it works good got to tilt your head n. Body a certain way to move crystals in ear around.. Watch that.. And last that awful vertigo is a tell tale sign of awful migraines painful or else silent with or without auras.. Look up MAV, good luck hope it gets better for you soon.. As for me it just keeps repeating every month.. Its not nice at all...

Hi Karen - hang in there! I'm 47 and having the exact same symptoms as you, plus anything from intolerance to migraines re: perfume-y smells, it's been insane. I'm now on meds for high BP, I can longer wash my hair upside down as I cannot endure another vertigo situation. I get out of bed super slowly like I'm 80, have to let my body 'catch up' as my vestibular system seems to have been hijacked by my ovaries! I went to ENT doc and did have BPPV which explained some of my nausea and dizziness. However the most aggravating is the miserable sinus and ear fullness issue. It brings on a lot of anxiety, something I never experienced until recently, super scary. I got out of shower yest and had red streaks running down my face. I think it's imbalanced hormones plus histamine overload, what a vicious cycle. Regular docs (I've seen countless specialists in past 10 months) have been useless. I feel like garbage but have try to exercise regularly as at least it keeps me sleeping better at night. check out Lorri Weisen article the real secret behind histamine intolerance. I'm petrified of the next allergy season and may be going to see an integrative immunologist to see if I can get things under control.

So sorry you are going through this challenging time. If the ENT doesn't effectively address your ear/vertigo issue, consider that you may perhaps have temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) which does affect the ears, which affect your balance. TMD tends to particularly act up if you're stressed, when your tend to grind or clench your teeth a lot, usually unconsciously. I posted about my experience here; perhaps you might find it helpful: https://patient.info/forums/discuss/thoughts-on-what-we-re-going-through-and-how-we-can-try-to-avoid-exacerbating-them-749174

    hang in there!!
