i had my worst cataract removed a little over two weeks ago. The first three days it was like looking through a plastic shower curtain. very blurry. Day 4 was much improved and has improved daily since then. i cannot get over the difference in colors! When I looked through the normal eye, it was almost antiqued and had a sepia type color on everything. The new lens lets me see such bright and true colors.
I had my second eye done three days ago and the blurring only lasted two days. This is day four and i can see pretty well, but not at 100% yet. i do have some trouble seeing tiny print without good lighting, but can definitly read it. Distance is much improved from prior to surgery. I'm loving how much lighter things are. i didn't realize how much of a hole I was living in. Hopefully, things will keep getting better and better.

Sounds good so far. It can take up to 6 weeks for everything to settle down. If you are considering glasses to help with reading or fine tune for distance I would wait 6 weeks from the second surgery before getting your eyeglass prescription. Good luck with your recovery...

Thanks. My opthalmologist said he could do some "tweaking" if Ii need it. Not exactly sure what that means, but I trust he knows what he is doing. i did opt for laser instead of manual installation thinking there might be less room for error from a shaky hand.

Hmm, tweaking sounds like code for Lasik.

Hi! I hope you will keep posting updates. I am getting my cataracts removed this summer and am planning on getting Vivity lens. I'm nervous, and hearing about outcomes is so helpful (and, in the case of your post reassuring) .

hi
Do you have any halos? I got vivity 5 weeks ago. Great in daylight but I am seeing halos at night . I was clear I did not want halos and my optomotrist says it was inevitable . Should I still hope they will go away?

From my experience - nothing goes away just like that. Actually mine got worse over time.

Happy for you, Susan. Sounds like all progressing nicely. I go in for my 1 week Vivity Toric #2 May 20 post op on first eye tomorrow. It's been out of focus distance, mid and close since #1 Vivity Toric #1 on Mar 25. But had a stitch on Vivity #2 op, as had to open it up more to remove Vivity #1. Stitch removed tomorrow. Sure hope that gives me focus... at least distance! I went through eight weeks of drops for #1 before surgeon decided to swap out lens for more powerful and one that had not accidentally rotated.
