So its been 19 days since I had surgery ,went to hospital to have stitches out which was agony the skin had started to heal over the stitches also had a new cast on .spoke to consultant about exactly what he had done and was shocked when he told me that they drilled a whole through my ankle bone to attach a donor graph to has anybody else had this done ,I should have asked more questions but just wanted to get out after having them stitches out ,I think I'd rather give birth than go through that again lol

Have to say that sounds horrendous.  Yes I find generally that consultants tend not to be too forthcoming with information unless you badger them then they explain in technical terms!!  I haven't had surgery for mine so I can't compare with yours.  I am only 2 weeks down the line in the boot but already the swelling is starting to go down.  Hope yours starts to improve soon

I had a achilles reconstruction where they did a tendon transfer from my big toe, I was told they would screw the tendon to my heal bone but after a fall and an xray to make sure i hadn't broke my ankle I asked if they could see the screw and was told there was no screw!! so now I wonder how they attached the toe tendon!!
