I had open carpal and cubital tunnel surgery just wondering how long this pain will last I didn't think this surgery would be this painfull mostly my elbow that hurts and having pain in ur shoulder normal after this type of surgery thank u

    I was wondering when you had your surgery?

    I had this done in December last year it hurt for quite a few weeks then it went to my right arm and hand I have just had an appointment booked for an MRI scan due to nerve induction test showing they think the numbness and pain is coming from my neck? My husband did notice a couple of months ago a lump at the top of my spine. I did not think this would be the cause but hopefully get more information once get results I go 21st for MRI x I hope your symtoms get better let me know how you go x Nic

      Yesterday but didn't think I would have pain like this. I had the nerve study done before the surgery I have severe cubital tunnel and cts in my left wich is weird cause that's not my dominant hand.and had moderate in my right had them do my right first cause it was causing the most pain I have constant pain in my right shoulder and elbow but was expecting my elbow to hurt cause that's where the surgery was but dnt think my shoulder should be hurting cause I never had pain there before. I have to get the same thing done on my left side now I'm having second thoughts but my surgeon said I better have it done because it will cause me more problems in the end. And my wife was having the same problem like you and found out she had scroliosis.

      I understand how you are feelings left hand isy dominant hand when I had nerve induction test nothing actually showed up but he still went in and my nerves were squashed like an hour glass even after surgery nothing seemed to be getting better and the numbness carried on so numb is still painful if you know what I mean? I'm hoping this MRI scan finds something out as my hips and thighs are now starting to be affected? Oh scoliosis sounds not good? I hope you get some relief soon if not go back until your satisfied I have x keep in touch and let me know how you are x try naproxen they are like a strong anti inflammatory x take care and it is early days .
