Just heard today that I have pcos I'm only 17

Hi everyone, I just got diagnosed today with pcos. Have to wait for appointment to see specialist, not sure what to expect. I don't have the problem of body hair that most of you have, but I've only ever had one period and that was about three years ago. I know many girls would call me lucky because of that, but I read today in information my doctor gave me that its not good to not have regualar periods, so I guess they will have to sort that out for me, and I'll have to get used to them. :evil: will let you know how I get on when I've been to specialist.

    my daughter has been diagnoised today 16/10 and like you is 17 and doesnt have any extra hair growth. smile smile take heart to know that their are other girls who are the same as you. :idea: Im passing this site to her so maybe you could share experiances together

    heey.. iv just been searching about PCOS.. never knew anything about it.. till went to doctor and am 18.. am just like u.. last time io had period was errmmm 2years ago :!: s doctor said to me what i'v got but never really explaind it well... so thought id search... any way so he gave me the Microgynon 30.. and told me that i need 2 take them for the rest of my life and that i cant have kids eva.... sad that wer really upsetting.. cuz i so want kids.. dose any1 know any body who really got treated? thatnkx

    I'm only 15 and was told 2 go 2 the hospital cause of my apendix i went there and found out it wasnt my apendix at all i more than likely have pcos at the age of 15! im copeing ok..i guess it hasnt really had a chance 2 set in yet but im very over weight i dont have alot of extra body hair..a lil bit on the bottom of my stomach and that..nothing a razor cant fix lol all im going to say is dont let it get you down once you do that..you've let it win and its your body so you just have to keep your chin up and cross your fingers and hope but dont give up..

    Dw i was 15 n diagnosed wif it

    I'm now 17 and tbh i told my best mate and his mum had it and she had 6 kids and she didn even have any special treatment

    if u really do want prriods u cn go on the pill but its like fake my docter said so i said id rather go without lolz
