Just Increased from 75mg to 150mg today - Advice Please!

HiI have been on Ven for 10 weeks - first week at 37.5mg and 9 weeks at 75mg.
I had been doing great on it and then last week for a couple of days I noticed I was almost slipping backwards. It seemed to lift from about mid week but then yesterday, I was flat, anxious, shaking and picking at my food again.
I didn't sleep at all last night either (I haven't had insomnia for weeks!) and when Igot up this morning, I was anxious, dry heaving and shaking.
I rang my GP 1.5 hrs ago and we had a chat.
She recommended that I increase my dose from the 75mg to 150mg, which is what I am doing. She advised me to take another 75mg which I have done, so I have had my first 150mg today.
I'm collecting my new prescription tomorrow and am seeing her for my next catch up tomorrow morning at 9.30am.
I just wondered what your experiences were, going from 75mg to 150mg? How long does the increase take to kick in roughly and did you have any side effects?

Hi I have been on 150mg for 3 months now. The transition from 75mg was fine however I am suffering terribly with insomnia since. I actually feel like iv taken 10 steps back as I feel so low and anxious, I am walking the floors somtimes until 5am in the morning then when I do eventually drop off I'm sleeping until 1am in the afternoon.
I realy don't know what to do😕

Thank you Dadoo - what about going to your GP about your insomnia? They might be able to suggest something.
When do you take your 150mg? I take my Ven every morning with my breakfast - usually about 7.30am. I've read that the earlier in the day you take it, the better.
Another little tip is herbal tea - one of my friends got me onto it - Camomile tea just before bed does help to relax you and Peppermint is nice as well.

Thank you bookworm, I realy don't want to go down the sleeping pills route which I know is what I will be offered. I take mine at night as I awake diffrent times of the day so evening is best option. I have and do drink peppermint tea but to no avail I'm afraid😕so confused as to wetter I need to increase them lower them or taper off them as maybe they don't agree with me🙈🙈🙈
