Just started Lexapro and having bad anxiety

My Dr put me on Lexapro and I’m on day 3. I’m doing 2.5 mg for 4 days then moving to 5 mg for about three weeks and then to 10 mg. The first two days were fine with mild nausea but this day was terrible. I take it in the morning and I’ve had no problems.   Today, after I got home from work, this feeling of dread washed over me and it stayed with me for at least an hour. I can’t remember the last time I felt this type of high level anxiety/fear.  I know that it can get bad before it gets better, but this is bad. I don’t want to quit because EVERYONE is saying it will get better, but I don’t know if I can hang in there.

I feel your pain. It’s horrible. My Dr started me right away on 10mg. It’s hard to be patient when you feel so awful. I’m trying to keep looking forward and hoping it gets better as people say.
