What were you prescribed it for?

Those symtoms you are experiencing are pretty typical of this drug when you are first starting out and may linger for months depending on the person.

Yes Phillip very normal side affects.   I had an extremely dry mouth, dizziness, couldn't eat but after about 3-4 weeks it got a little better each week and then by 8 weeks i was sleeping normally again, eating normally and no more dry mouth.

Just be aware If you decide to continue it's use. If and when you decide you no longer need it (years down the road). The side effects are worse getting off. Research that drug. It will give you an idea of what to expect.

I already did plus the way to get off is to cut the dose down every 2-3 weeks depending how well the body adapts to the med which minimise the side effect or no side at all of getting off the tablets

Hey Phillip, I've been feeling really anxious lately so my GP prescribed 50mg of Sertraline per day. I started it on Monday and felt like sh1t but 4 days in, the side effects are lessening a great deal. I'm guessing that different people react differently so just try to be positive and the side effects will soon pass and you'll start to feel great again!

think about it if you are at college as i found  i couldn't concentrate or make desisions, was on it about a year, off 1 month now, the symptoms you mention will pass as it takes a while to get into your system,

it seems that  the sertraline and my omezperole did't agree with each since now i had strange feeling in my throat since taking them and i have only been sertraline for almost 3 days now

pls ignore my earlyier comment since i had a talk with the GP and he said it was nothing to be concerned about it happens because i have acid reflux and was not caused by the sertraline
