Just starting my third week on Citalopram. First 10 days were fine, much calmer, less anxious and tearful (could be due to less stress as the doc signed me off work for 2 weeks!). However, I am now suffering daily headaches which are quite severe, the pain is above my eyebrows but I also have pain in the jaw region. Has anyone else suffered from headaches and if so can you recommend any treatment that doesn't involve more tablets!!

Hi I have been on citalopram for 18 days and have had daily persistant painful headaches too. Just above the eyebrows and forehead. I have seen the consultant today and he has taken me off the tablets, told me to wait 3 days and has prescribed Escitalapram which is the more expensive brother with less side effects. Hope this is of help and will keep you posted

I too get headaches above the eyebrows and forehead. I also feel generally tired and my memory is poor. I have been on them for 4 weeks.

I have been taking Citalpram for a week now and also have headaches above the eyebrow and pain in the top of the eyeball. I've also experienced some pains in my cheek at the site of my sinus.

I noticed the jaw ache, I would sometimes notice I had clenched my jaw so hard that my teeth would hurt and feel loose. I thought Jaw clenching was a sign of tension yet on these tablets I was so laid back and chilled out, which seems a contradiction!
